Careers

TLRP appreciates the fragility of educational researchers' early careers and the importance of development opportunities. The Programme supported the development of codes or models of good practice for the employment of early and later career researchers and for newly appointed lecturers or academics, who are often recruited from a practice background. TLRP fostered a network of contract researchers, led by Chris Taylor (University of Cardiff), which organised events and activities in order to:

• exchange experiences and develop models of good practice
• encourage HEIs to address the diversity of new educational research communities
• embed good practices in HEIs' policies for the future of educational research.
