Introduction
TLRP takes the media extremely seriously. The Programme's database
enables us to access education journalists and others in the media
very efficiently, and press releases can be sent out with relative
ease. We have the benefit of a Media Fellow - Martin Ince - and members of the Directors'
Team may have contacts with journalists specialising in particular
sectors. Projects also, of course, may have more targeted contacts.
If this is so, please feed such information through to enhance the
Programme database as a collective resource.
All projects have a nominated
media spokesperson and Media Training is provided for these (or
other project colleagues as appropriate). The Media Training Manual
from Clear Communications offers excellent advice (available in
hard copy only from the TLRP office).
ESRC has some excellent web-based resources on the media and on
developing effective communication and impact plans.
