The
Higher Education Staff Development Agency
HESDA
is responsible for developing the skills, training and qualifications
of people working in higher education. This site provides a general
introduction to the agency, as well as links to courses and publications
covering many aspects of staff training and development in HE.

The

The
Research Careers Initiative
The
Research
Careers Initiative monitors progress towards meeting the commitments
of the 1996
Concordat and identifies and encourages good practice in the career
management and development of contract research staff.
The
Contract Research Online Survey Project (CROS)
This
project is funded by HEFCE, SHEFC, and the DTI/OST. CROS is project
managed and implemented by the University of Bristol. The project provides
a free, secure Web environment for the design, delivery, administration
and analysis of online surveys exclusively for Contract Research Staff.
The survey is aimed at anonymously gathering data about working conditions,
career aspirations and career development opportunities for contract
researchers. The summary analysis report based on the results of CROS
2002 is available for download.
