TLRP appreciates the fragility of early career developemnt opportunities for educational researchers. The programme supports the development of codes or models of good practice for the employment of early and later career researchers and for newly appointed lecturers or academics, who are often recruited from a practice background.
TLRP also fosters an on-going network of contract researchers and organises an annual conference to exchange experiences to develop these models of good practice and to encourage HEIs to address the diversity of new educational research communities and to embed good practices in their policies for the future of educational research. Chris Taylor is leading this initiative.
