The Teacher Education Research Network (TERN) is now entering its second year. In its first year TERN established an effective and successful regional network in the North West of England for research capacity-building in teacher education. In its second year, TERN 2010-2011 will again provide a research development programme within a blended learning environment to research fellows from seven universities who are providers of teacher education programmes. TERN participants will work collaboratively across the seven institutions to develop communal research bids around questions with high relevance to the field of teacher education, write papers, organise symposia and conduct research. Each team will have the support of a senior researcher in the field who will act as the mentor.
TERN 2010-2011 will consist of five workshops and an optional colloquium.
