Practitioners
In TLRP projects, interested practitioners were often directly involved in key processes of regular research activity. Partnerships were encouraged, and this could include discussion at the project conceptualisation and design stage, and continue during data collection and analysis in the specific settings in which practitioners work. Such engagement enhanced the relevance and groundedness of the research. However, other worthwhile contributions were also made at different stages of the research process.

Such work was enhanced by TLRP 's links with national organisations and liaison activity.
